Drage’s art deco store at 73-77 Oxford Street, c.1930. The architect was S Gordon Jeeves, also responsible for the Dolphin Square development later in the 1930s.
Here’s the Oxford Street branch of shoe shop chain Lennards, c.1930. Look at that lettering, the Vitrolite panels, the ascending windows and the horizontal detailing. And they’re having a sale, too.
